The wannabe Mob Boss in the White House

Great analysis.

Ends and Beginnings

For years I have been interested in the Mafia. It’s why the Godfather (one and two, not three) and Goodfellas are three of my favorite movies. I think my real fascination with the Mafia and why I watch those movies and read books about the La Cosa Nostra has less to do with the violence and more to do with the historical and political context of the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’. Obama and Hillary Clinton really out there tryna put their thumbs on the scale and front for conservative Democrats in the primaries. (SMH, I’m disappointed, but not surprised). Corporate Dems really trying to turn, “change is too hard and unrealistic” into a policy platform.

The truth is, we’ve gone too far right. But centrists will always kick left and compromise with the right. We need some FDR type Democrats who aren’t constantly chasing after Republican voters.

Angela Davis once said,”You have to act as if it were possible to radically transform the world, and you have to do it all the time.”

I much prefer that message as opposed to the, “don’t rock the boat, don’t upset the status quo” advice that Reagan/Clinton Democrats are shoveling.
