Saturday Caturday

Since I let Radar roam the yard the other day, he’s been relentless in wanting to go outside. At this very moment, he’s at the side door, crying to be let out. Because the yard is fenced in, I have to pick him up & carry him to the back yard. If I have things to do out there, like pick tomatoes or do some other kind of yard work, it’s OK but I don’t really like it when he’s out there on his own. This neighborhood is sick with rabbits (there’s rabbit shit everywhere) & if the rabbits can get through the spaces between the fences, you know a determined kitty can figure out how to do it. I would absolutely hate to lose Radar. He’s such a friendly lovable cat, some other family would invite him into their home in a heartbeat.

Here he is, crying.

After about fifteen minutes of this, I yelled, “SHUT THE FUCK UP!” & he did. But now he’s biting my laptop & circling my work area & being a general pain in the ass.

& now this:

Purring as loudly he can, of course!

Saturday Caturday

I’ve been taking both cats out to the screened-in patio with me when I go out there to sit & read these late summer days. Today I took Radar out into the yard when I went to pick tomatoes.

He sniffed at the grass & touched it with his paw & then he retreated into the line of juniper bushes that surround the patio.

He liked being in there. It’s his forest.

Stalking …. something.

He protested mightily when I took him back into the house but I assured him that we would be going outside into the yard again very soon.

Tummyrub Tuesday

My new couch came today! Before it arrived, I had to move Radar off the ottoman, which I had in the front window. I had to move the ottoman because that’s where the new couch was going to go. This is Radar’s favorite place to nap in the morning, since the windows face east & it gets all the morning sun. Of course, he had to roll around & be all cute with me!

His fur was sooooo warm from being in the sun!

But that’s the last time he’ll be able to lie there! Because this is the new couch … with Radar checking it out! He was NOT happy with this latest addition to the house!

Oh well, he’ll get used to it! It’s not like there’s not plenty of other cozy warm places to nap in this house!

Saturday Caturday

The other day I went grocery shopping & I saw a cute cat toy so of course I bought it.

I really love the shiny purple fins!

Radar loves it too!

Unfortunately, I threw away the packaging for the cat toy. All I can tell you is that the label on the toy is written in French & it says that the toy was made in China.

Saturday Caturday

This is the last Saturday in this apartment. My house closes on Monday & we move this coming Friday. Next Saturday, the cats will be getting to know their new home.

Lately Radar likes to sit on top of the white bookshelf next to the duck decoy lamp.

Radar playing with one of the cat toys. It is filled with catnip – every so often, he stops to lick his paws & rub them on his face.

Tuesday Tummyrub

I learned about Tuesday Tummyrub from Katzenworld.co.uk, which is a GREAT website … all about cats! Check it out, there’s all kind of information about your cat’s health, the best diet for your cat, living with your cat during this pandemic – which is not over yet – traveling &/or moving with a cat – & many more cat-related ideas & issues. I am SO glad that I subscribed to this blog. Like so many of the blogs that I subscribe to, not every single post is something that I care to read – BUT – if I don’t skim through each one, I won’t see the posts that I am truly grateful to read!

& Every Tuesday, they have a “Tuesday Tummyrub”, which features cats lying on their backs & showing their beautiful bellies … because they love to have them rubbed!

So I am going to start doing a “Tuesday Tummyrub” … featuring my cats, of course, & pictures of cats of mine from the past who loved to lay on their backs & display their lovely bellies!

All MY kitties … past & present … love to have their bellies rubbed & kissed & adored!

Here’s Radar … ready to have his belly rubbed & kissed & loved! Radar especially loves to have his belly kissed! Much more than just rubbed!
